Take some time out of your busy bestie texts about how the guy in front of you in line looks like the next Ebola victim, and check out this powerful photo/GIF series “Judging America” by photographer Joel Parés. This series reminds us that as Americans we meet people from many backgrounds and ethnicities everyday. And yes, as humans, we have observed and taken part in stereotyping. But do we have to send that prejudicial text? Joel takes his photography and lets it speak up against those who judge. Smart, professional, successful, big-hearted people come in all sizes, shapes and colors. So, think twice before tweeting a stereotypical GIF to your bestie and send them these to inspire some reflection.
