Fresh Food Gets Creative

Freshness has a price. You usually need to spend either more money or time to get something that’s fresh vs. the “processed” option. To fill the gap, companies are continually looking for creative ways to bring “fresh” to market without the downside of expiration dates, additives, etc. A good example is Flatev, a machine that makes fresh tortillas using a dough pod, similar to Nespresso or Keurig coffee machines. Not sure if the finished product is exactly like homemade tortillas, but they are definitely more appealing than grocery store pre-packaged options. This proves that when technology and creativity work together, many new and “fresh” options can come to life.
