Leave it to the Millennials to revolutionize yet another industry. This time they are stepping away from their predecessors, Gen X, and even their parents, the Boomers, to go where few twentysomethings have gone: financial stability.
The Great Recession certainly did a number them. Living at home with mom and dad, paying their way out of debt instead of swimming in it, and contributing to a 401k are definitely not the glamorous ways we imagine spending our 20s. But now there are resources, apps of course, to help Millennials achieve their dreams of financial freedom, even though this doesn’t mean the same thing to them as it might to their parents.
One example is LearnVest, founded by none other than a Millennial. This site/app was built specifically with Millennials in mind, so that the process of investing is similar to that of a simple online purchase—something they are already familiar with.
At this rate, the rest of us will probably be getting investing tips from them…
