Move Aside, Barbie

The Barbie doll, with its unrealistic and unattainable proportions, has been the most pervasive doll in the history of dolls – giving off the wrong idea of what beauty should look like. Nickolay Lamm, a researcher and artist, is on to changing those perceptions and has created the “Lammily” doll based on the average measurements of a 19-year-old girl. A doll that’s curvy and fit as opposed to anorexic and stiletto-dependent can only be a good thing.
