The Perfectly Imperfect

There’s an intriguing beauty to the imperfect. Beyond our less than symmetrical feet, ears and eyes, there’s a relatable realness to the uneven that is as natural as it is inspiring; like the bleeding lines of ink scraped on a fresh sheet of paper or the dusty shades of white chalk on a blackboard.

Distant from the color-corrected and vectorized digital era where most things are utilitarian and disposable, the lost & found art forms of calligraphy, graphite, chalk and even typewriting are being revived by artists and brands alike with a renewed affection for the perfectly imperfect.
