Facebook Bets Big

Facebook is fighting to keep its social throne by offering a major dark social product. Mark Zuckerberg highlights WhatsApp as service that “people around the world love to use every day.” Even publishers like BuzzFeed have now included options to share via WhatsApp on iOS. Maybe email and SMS is slowly becoming an archaic way of sharing content with a small group of people, and more publishers should follow BuzzFeed’s footsteps.
