Guerrilla Gardening. New ways of thinking about food are sprouting up in the least expected places. Guerrilla gardening is spreading like wildfire. We are slowly going back to a very basic lifestyle when it comes to food and are teaching those who have been raised in a fast food culture how they can eat healthier while taking care of their communities and changing the landscape. The flip side to this movement is very controversial. If you see an abandoned, neglected lot and you decide to do something about it by planting vegetables and herbs, are you an occupier? Is it green graffiti? It’s a little radical and the city might not agree, but it sure does look and feel good. Pam Gampper, Associate Creative Director
