*This is a full-time position located in Dallas, TX or Los Angeles, CA. This is a hybrid (3 days in office) position.

  • Edit, write distinctive copy as required, with close attention to strategic accuracy and honoring brand personality (unique style).  
  • Ensures language translation captures the essence of the original copy and/or script.
  • Constantly works to improve the quality of copy development and execution.
  • Work closely with Creative team to ensure integrity of the idea.
  • Advises Creative, Project Management and Brand Leadership well in advance regarding any deviations from job specifications, strategy and/or time schedules.
  • Provides suggestions/modifications based on branding, style and standard usage of language.
  • Perform fact-checking tasks. Verify factual correctness of information, such as dates, prices, legal, among other information.
  • Ensure that messaging and legal are written in accordance with the style guide and branding. Make sure messaging and legal are corrected to improve accuracy, consistency and they are free of errors, repetitions, and inconsistencies.
  • Shares edited copy with Creative team to gain input on strategy adherence, articulation of key message and connection with target.
  • Resourceful and able to problem solve effectively.
  • Manages projects through the right channels and following Dieste processes and teams.
  • Keeps track and update brand’s nuances, changes in messaging and legal.
  • Develop and maintain agency communications at appropriate levels.
  • Keep job history organized and easy and ready to access.
  • Cross trained to cover for various client accounts when necessary.

Experience Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree 

Experience: 3-5 years’ experience

Articulate in both Spanish and English with an excellent well-rounded vocabulary for copy edits and/or translations.

Able to work with minimal supervision.

Comprehensive understanding of the Latino culture.
