Dieste is seeking a collaborative, enthusiastic, strategic-minded champion of great work and flawless delivery to join the Dallas Brand Leadership team in an Account Director role. The Account Director is a key team lead, the bridge between client and agency, and oversees multiple work-streams on assigned account.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee day-to-day agency performance and agency/client relationship.Ensure clients continually receive superior service, thinking and quality work from the agency and that strategy, planning, programs, tactics, budgets, schedules, creatives, documentation, and account profitability stays on track

  • Establish & maintain trusted client relationships; Provide thought leadership & proactive solutions for day-to-day business challenges
  • Understand and execute revenue forecasting, agency direct costs and staffing needs relative to each assigned client
  • Act as a day-to-day client contact and lead client projects with little oversight while overseeing and managing a cross-functional internal team

Serve as team leader on major initiatives/ projects across all project stakeholders (Client, internal teams, partner agencies)

  • Oversee and manage a variety of clients and client project deliverables simultaneously
  • Work closely with planning & creatives to ensure communication align with brand objectives & client expectations
  • Provide guidance & support to ensure alignment throughout project lifetime
  • Understand the “why” behind client feedback and apply understanding to project challenges
  • Evaluate all work against direction/ feedback to ensure client expectations are met
  • Respond resourcefully & constructively to new demands, priorities, challenges or obstacles

Foster a positive, cohesive working environment; Provide constant feedback and coaching to direct reports

  • Create a learning environment & inspire others to stretch beyond their own expectations
  • Help team understand big picture, think critically, see creatively, problem solve, manage relationships
  • Coach and inspire the development of junior staff by providing actionable and productive feedback, training and growth opportunities
  • Assist with annual performance evaluations & establish stretch goals; Maintain regular performance checkpoints

Assists Group Account Director with operations and team management; Maintains goals and standards set by agency

  • Provide input on team vision; Makes staffing recos (hiring, promotions, etc); based on needs of entire team
  • Understand fiscal responsibilities & contractual obligations; supports GAD to maintain compliance
  • Set expectations/processes for daily operations and effectively holds team members accountable for following
  • Ensure all Statements Of Work are drafted, documented, accurate, and implemented

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years account experience in a creative advertising agency preferred 
  • Experience overseeing the development and launch of advertising campaigns within an agency environment required
  • Proven experience leading fast-paced accounts, working with partner agencies, internal teams and clients 
  • Strong background in all aspects of project development/production including digital, social, TV, radio & print
  • Business-minded and detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills
  • Strategic thinking balanced with ability to make decisions and recommend actionable strategy
  • Ability to be nimble, problem solve, innovate, and respond quickly to client needs
  • Proven presentation development skills; Ability to present ideas, concepts & strategic direction clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience
  • Organized, detail-oriented, analytical, persuasive, inspirational, well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills; Clear, concise business writer
